Fire crews were called to three-alarm blaze at a Totowa home on Sunday. Flames were flaring up through roof and windows of multi-family house. Although no people were home, 2 dogs, 1 owned by each family were. Firefighters pulled Labrador through second-floor window using ladder. They carried dog to safety in bedding, before giving it oxygen and water.
However, they discovered 6-month-old Shih Tzu lying dead on first floor. Cause and origin of blaze remains unknown; an investigation is ongoing
